Originally founded in 2015 in Madrid (Spain), Yellow Collective is a live art and experimental theatre company currently based both in Spain and the UK. We create unique and intimate pieces that challenge and provoke today’s audience’s beliefs and values. The aim is to strip away superficial theatricalities to emphasise the relationship between the performer and the audience members through a visually striking and minimalistic aesthetic.
The company was created thanks to the support of PKMÑ, which provided a work space for us to develop an explorative investigation which became a multidisciplinary 60-minute piece. This piece, THE LIGHTS, was premiered at the same venue in January 2016. After a successful first run, the production was selected to be part of “Imparables” (experimental theatre festival for new artists in Spain).Afterwards, the company moved to London to develop P.A.T.S. in collaboration with Swedish director Johan Bark, which was premiered in London at The Lighthouse Sharing on 2017. The company is currently touring this show around Europe at festivals such as Dreams Before Dawn in Paris, Teatro do Festa in Lisbon, Camden Fringe in London and Birmingham Fest in Birmingham.
The company is currently in Belgium developing their new piece, which will be premiered at the end of this year.
